Re: Thrusting in tourney.
If I leave my arm open, my knight cuts it off, if I leave my arm pit open, my knight rams a thrust in it. If I was fighting for my life, you'd be damn sure I'd go arm hunting and stab a bloke in the face. Fighting is killing. Deal with it.

Re: Worst Pennsic XL Moments!
The archer should have their card pulled. This is a fighting sport, shit happens. Get over it.
On a side note:
The worst thing for me was watching Capt Savaric de Pardieu tear his groin in the unbelted champions battle. His vacancy in our household unit was very much felt the rest of war.

Re: DON'T BREAK YOUR TOYS
I've busted a few fingers and two ribs, several concussions. I have also broken my knights hand due to a freak shot/block combination. I've seen a couple noses, an arm, another hand, and a ton of fingers go poof in the last three years. I saw nothing reported thank god.

Here is one of Sir Jasper of the Midrealm a few years back (before he was knighted) using a six foot spear with that style of head, this is before the mandrake tips were around but the decoration and principle are the same.
