WTB Fencing Mask and Sword

Been heavy fighting for about 4 years now and am feeling a bit bi-curious...about light fighting that is. I have tried light fighting a few times and I really enjoyed it. I am now wanting to finish my kit for the light field. I am looking for a fencing mask or perf helm for a 23 1/2 head. And I am l...

Re: Review of ashcraft baker. Buyer BEWARE!!!

Me and my best friend both bought Ashcraft helms about 3 years ago. They were tough and they fit out heads with enough padding. But they were ugly and very non-period. Not a problem. You get what you pay for. I still have mine for loaner helm. However, I had another friend who recently bought one an...

@Swansman
I think maybe a new joupon/surcoat would really make everything go together better. The white is really jarring and the fit at the shoulders seems odd. What is your torso armour underneath it? Good kit though.

That is my "cutting spear". According to the SCA rules of the list it is a two handed weapon (being used in one hand). As such, as long as it does not exceed 7.5', it may have a cutting head and buttspike. It is fiberglass spears that may not have a cutting surface or buttspike. I have one I made t...

Very beautiful helm! The blackening contrasts nicely and really makes the brass pop.

My Norman Kit, Metal gauntlets not as nice as they could be. safe though need a better solution. I purchased the buckler here from Kilian: http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=147663&p=2225761#p2225761 It is fanstastic and in great shape. Now my wife and I have nearly matching bucklers. Kilian was quick to answer my questions and prompt with sending out the buckler. 5 stars.

I think I have a higher chance of having some random unarmoured part of my body being broken than having a sword guar...

I would not consider it legal. I've had one of these enter thru my eyeslot and hit me about 1/4" below my eye while my opponent was holding the sword. The addition of holding it by the tsbuba with your hand would not make this legal in my opinion. The pic of the hand holding the sword has has alrea...
