Thanks for the responses, guys! Looks like I can go a bit thinner than I thought on the scales. If I need to, I can heat treat them, I suppose. Hi all, I'm planning to make a knee length metal scale surcoat/hauburgeon/hauberk-design isn't completely finalized.
