Anyone have any examples as to why these individuals were/are the best? Is it command, tacticals, stirring speeches or all of the above? Colin G okay.. Forgal has a vast military exp. (old army dog). his ability to bring the same tactics and planning to the sca field is uncanny. coupled with the fa...

Id have to chime in with Prothall..

IMO best would include the ability to fight solo with spear dodging shots as well as throwing them...

fighting in a line doesnt really show personal skill as much as ONE guy killing 5+ other spearmen alone...

Prothal does this often in the states...

OK let me try and put this a little more simply- Prove that the world of Heavy fighting is more enjoyable for the fighters who put themselves at risk because archery has been added. I discount the opinion of the non-partcipatory audience in this matter, so I don't want to hear about how a lot of th...

I made some mild steel ones using Cads " make your drill a lathe and pray you dont die" method. I bought a bunch of shelf pins from woodcraft and just grinded down the outside to fit the profile I wanted. the pins are 1/4 by 1/2 long and 3/16 by 1/2 on the other end. perfect for sticking in a drill ...

artemis,

use a syringe to shoot water into the cut ... NEVER GO DIGGIN with more metal..

punch wounds are IMO the nastiest because they take so long to heal and often are much deeper than we would like to think.

Its all fun and games til someone cuts off a thumb..... :-)_

back when I hunted a lot I used a 75# bear recurve.

higher poundage makes for a straighter shot at greater distance..

IMO if your going to make the effort you should make a good one.

get a propane plumbers torch from home depot.

heat the bronze while working it around and riveting it on as you go. clamp it and drill straight through both pieces for the riveting.

it will stay tight for you then:-D

David,

I fight in Bohemond boots.

Ive tried everything from combat boots to turn shoes and nothing even comes close.

mine have crepe soles and 14th cent point.

Ive never had a problem.

well worth the money imo.

If you where not planning on ever opening the vizor. Id suggest a false hinge. aka it looks like one but isnt. it dont pivot. which would keep the vizor down and remove the need for any lock or strap. it simply comes off at the "T" rivet and pin that holds the leaf of the hinge to the helm. a solid ...
