thats actually a really good point Roland.... the application is endless with those rules, based on interpretation. Ive lived in places where shooting an arm was " bad" so in those areas ( at that time) by the definition placed I could have had my card pulled for hitting arms... since well...

if your making a standard grill and want to cut some time make yourself a little jig to keep spacing at a MAXIMUM. ( some people go 7/8, I tend to base it on what barstock im using ..) a 3/4 peice of solid bar with a T welded to the top and a 7/8 one will make sure your in regs at all times. ( cant ...

build the frame ( ie the outside bars/center bar on a basic grill)

THEN fill in with shaped bars.

welding a grill flat then tryin to dish it sounds like one hell of a mess, im sure it could be done but cant imagine it being faster without a big press and jigs.

I didn't mean to be imprudent at all, I was just concerned for my friend is all. I just wanted to be sure you weren't using his name to fetch a bigger price or anything like that. Cad's helms are highly prized, and seldom are found on the resale market. I hope you didn't take offense at all. Someti...

WTS Bascinet and aventail ( Cad top)

the entire helm is 12g mild steel, its about a decade old now with zero dents. it has some minor dings (metal on metal contact) but overall still shiny. ( need a run on the buffing wheel) the top was made by Master cad of the midrealm who doesnt make armor anymore I dont think. the aventail is a sta...

I use a band saw.

Ive used beverly shears, HF shears et al. still think the added cost of bandsaw blades is nothing to being able to take anything to the bandsaw and cut it without issue.

Id like a rundown on making the musculata BP. those and the hindged knee/greaves are the coolest.

Ive seen the Orkneys, the helms are sweet . fighting great. its the BP and greaves that make it all come together.
