Re: Search fu is weak - byzantine source material

For those that don't have that book, could you post a pic? I'm pretty good at web searches, but need to know what I am looking for.

For example, I have no idea if either of these are useful:

Re: Rattan Waster

I ran this piece through the "design your own waster" section at foxknife.com and came up with a price of $85, but I believe I'm going to knock that down to $75 (plus shipping) because of a slight curve in the wood that I was unable to completely carve out.

Rattan Wasters - Spatha, Maces and more

Edit: This item is sold (scroll down for more) First prototype of the new type 17 waster. Due to a curve in the original wood, I had to cut six inches off the blade tip. This example is 54" overall length with a 36" blade. Future examples should be 60" overall and have a 42" bla...

I am working on an illegal experiment right now. Going to talk to the KEM (AnTir) about it in July, and then run it to SEM. Basically taking siloflex, cutting it in half, and edging a sword face with it. People around here wrap sticks in rawhide, many to good effect. Unless you are a tall evil left...

Re: How fast do your weapons wear out?!?

To save my rattan, I have a stick that contains a split piece of siloflex rolled up and shoved inside another piece of siloflex just for the pell. I believe Sir Vitus has also talked about having a separate pell sword, but in his case it was intentionally a bit heavier than his fighting sword.
