Just curious, it's obviously a 4 panel spangen with slat back and crusaderish face-plate.
Is it meant as a later period crusader adaptation?

Well, I've made extensive use of a couple of them, so I'll report on them. 1. They're made to cut stainless and are ungodly expensive. They cost about the same as 9 normal blades. (or more, depending on how cheap the blades you use are) 2. They are a great time saver though... One blade will last me...

Total diameter of the shield bosses is 9 inches... there is a 1 inch flange all the way around making the center dished area 7 inches in diameter. The central dished area goes to a depth of about 2 inches.

So, I saw at Menards these lovely carbide teeth jigsaw blades which state that they are for cutting stainless steel. Only problem is, as saw blades go, they're insanely expensive ($11 per blade) Has anyone had experience with these? What kind of performance did you get? Are they worth the money??
