Deatons helm is indead an industrial gas cylinder. Very thick and probably weighed about 10lbs or more. Ivonoffs helm is a modified japanese military helmet I think WW2 era with a plate rivited on the back and get this... notice the straps going across the top? Thats no grill! I just said I find the scenario a bit silly.

Not my cup of tea but more importantly not an alteration to the fighting that would cause extreme dangers to the participants.

I think it is a bit silly also. I don't mind girls walking around in fairy wings but larp rules for SCA melee does seem a bit out of hand.
