so here is some new youth combat gear we have made for my son.
a gold mongolian lammelar edged with camel suede. the maroon is lattigo leather all hand painted.
the armor was made by my roommate who also has a very nice mongolian kit.

you could always sell the helm to get the money to buy a helm that is sure to fit instead of hoping someone has one in your size that is interested in trading.

do what gunther suggests, not only will it fix the problem but it will make the helm look better in the process.
