i like it.
will probably pick up a couple.
i have a couple of the original ones, one i use for fighting and was only recently thinking about cutting it a bit shorter.
now i can just buy a new one and use this one for garb.

i dont have any issue with propper training before being allowed to fight. none what so ever. but to require someone to fight rapier just so they can fight cut and thrust seems rediculous. i agree that the rank knewbie should have to go through an education process and really it should be the same f...

well i strongly disagree with mandatory auth, in rapier to fight c+t. i do understand the reasons stated here for the rule but honestly why train for one thing when what you want to do is another animal completely. i have never had any interest in rapier and i have been in the sca for the better par...

oh yes sorry i did mean to mention that. keep in mind the weight issues my friend is having are from stainless plates. aluminium plates are another good option without all the weight. and without the shattering. the plastic do come in a myriad of colors but obviously all the options have pro's and c...

i have 2 friends of note who both wear lamallar. one has stainless and is now in the process of trading out just under half the plates for leather because of the weight. (his is more than just body) and the other has plastic but has to replace plates after a while because they are brittle and shatte...

Thank you all for your find words. I wonder what do you expected to see and how this helmet should have named? Thank you. well if i were going to call it raven i would expect some part to be black. maybe the barbute but preferably the decor. to me it kinda reminds me of an owl. still great looking ...

why not a coat of plates. they can be as adjustable as you want as long as you make the straps long enough. plus with a coat of plates you can still use the plastic while looking good. use a heavy canvas for the outer shell and your loaner gear should last through many newbies. you can paint your lo...

i love my finger gauntlets. ii find the trade off for dexterity is well worth the price in defensive protection. keep in mind you can always get a pair of finger bucklers/finger shields to wear over the gauntlets. personally i never liked not being able to splay my fingers while working with a pole ...

I would start by looking hear m To be honest the pattern will need to be resized and ajusted depending on your shape. It will probibly to easier to create your own pattern with a piece of posterboard. The folks over on tousando may have other insites but the board is smaller it may take a few days ...
