ditch the mouse pad crap and use something a little more substantial.
take an old t shirt and cut it up for padding.
just layer it with numerous layers, it will absorb the shock and cushion the blow considerably.
at least until you can afford some other alternative.

well without better pics what i can say is that while the do looks pretty good the head looks kinda out of whack.
i think maybe its just the hair color or maybe the eyes are just a little too round.

i cant really say about how legal they are without actually handling them but the rules for finger gauntlets state that the fingers EITHER have to ground on the haft of the weapon OR have 1/4 inch of padding underneath the plates.

ok, i am once again in the market for a decent pair of hourglass demi-gauntlets. they need to either be "heat" blued or left plain so i can have someone else do the blueing. i would also like if they could have bras trim around the knuckles and the wrist. and maybe something around the cuff.

i have a wonderful mace i dont use made from a different dog toy.
very resilient, lighter than the kong toys and has amazing recoil.

her shoes just dont fit her right.
she had odd shaped feet that are about the same size as mine so i now have 2 new pairs of shoes.
they are great.
