The Vikings traded a lot, right? The beads may have been made by another group and purchased. I'm just glad they didn't find a katana. But they have found buddha's in viking era graves in Scandinavia..... A single Buddha, as far as I know. There was an ivory statue of Laksmi in Pompeii. m http://1....

I know at least 10 people who own one and about 20 people who own Ferraris, and here in "Hollywood" they are more common than in Iowa. But they do exist in quantity and are not unique. On the other hand, how many car museums or private collectors who have Ford Pintos or Toyota Corollas? B...

Most of your work is really great Westland but IMO these look nothing line the coat/kaftan that Peter was wearing in the original Miklgaurd image. All American medieval-based groups are spinters from the SCA... And ironically, the members of those splinter groups that are the stand outs are generally ex (or current) SCA members. I can not think of ANY top notch VALH* folks that arent (or werent) also SCA folks (note, I do not consider myself ...

I disagree While fighting my feet often rub one another as I move in different ways. Sitting here in my chair as I type my feet are together, to get up I have to move them in a way that toggles 'could' catch. Im not saying it did happen, Im saying it could happen. Again, id like to see some hard num...

The toggle on the inside both does and doesnt make sense to me. I mean if you sit down, put one foot on your knee and put your shoe on, it makes sense that the toggle be there so it can be fastened. BUT, with both toggles on the inside, it would seem to me that they would have a chance to catch on o...
