Uh.....there are several groups of us rebated steel types in the states!

Just very few (if any) on the scale of the SCA.

Do what we did and start your own group.

actually the shield boss isnt steep, its just not a "Viking" style the shieldboss pictured is called a Sugarloaf boss and they are Saxonish, there is a big article on them that is on my list of things to scan the only thing i see that is odd is the thickness, 3/4 inch! good golly, the shields i use ...

but sweeping charges from the sides are something we are working on, so far they are moderately successful.
