Re: So, explain your fascination with "Late" Period.

I think you poofta late period boys just like the feel of tights
I bet it reminds you of the panty hose and garters you secretly wear in real life

Re: What is the appeal of "Early Period?"

True but you said most should wear pants; I am just saying there are alot of hosen finds. Umm, no, I said that to say MOST 'early period' people wore hose was a stretch. I said some was more likely And even this is going to vary by culture and time frame. "Early Period" is almost as dirty...

Re: What is the appeal of "Early Period?"

Hosen are not some magic invention by the Norman in 1066 they were in use in the late roman empire and there are a number of pre-medieval finds in a German Museum on hose. Many early finds are associated with horse cultures. Plus as mentioned there are Viking era finds my friend Yes there are but w...

Knowing Josh (slightly) I don't think he is trying to be a dick, just curious. My peers (little p) have tried and tried to drag me to The Dark Side but it just doesnt interest me. And I am unconvinced that early portrayals, when done right, are any easier or cheaper than later ones. Who the fuck wants to take care of all that metal?
Polishing, replacing straps, screwing with rivets.
I got a real life to tend to so minimal farting around with armour is ideal for me.

FWIW, you wont catch shit from me about hosen
I love em (braise and hose) :)

In search of a broken Paul Chen.....

...........Practical Viking sword.

I just need the pommel and maybe 3+ inches of blade

Doesn't need to be in tip top condition

They used to break pretty regularly, anyone got pieces laying around they might want to part with at a reasonable price?

You might try Theo (I think the Midrealmers know him by a different name) at Eldesarian Metal Works

At one time he was caring (I think Paul Binns) blanks

Donno if he still is but I wouldn't own a combat blade that wasn't a Binnsie.

Its no different than taking any other patented/copyrighted item, copying it and then lowballing the original seller.
