My wife is looking at getting one, too. From her reserach, it looks like a pretty good solution for both SCA and civilian camping. Lots of peopel seem to like the features, ease of use and look of them.

Use Feibings leather dye. I've used black and brown leather dyes. No laquer or other sealants in them, so all it does is add color.

I alos have a set of his Wisby gauntlets. He did a great trade deal with me for just the steel components. He even shipped me rivets after realizing he had forgotten to include them......Great craftsman and great to do business with.
