WTB: Spring or Stainless Steel Finger Buckler Blanks
Greetings all. I'm looking for a quote from any possibly interested armorers to make me a pair of spring or stainless steel finger bucklers, 5.5 inch diameter, 1 inch dishing, with 8, 3/16 holes equidistant around and 3/8 inch in from the edge. That's it, just the two pieces. See, I can manage rivet...

When I used a CoP, I had a linger gambeson and a second 4 oz weight leather 'skirt' that buttoned to the gambeson. Combined with padded chausses that when over the hip, it was very effective protection from blunt-force impacts. Currently, My lamellar extends over the hips in panels, so no problems t...

Thanks. I really like it and it's nice to have armor I can get in and out of myself. Yeah, I went from a traditional COP, closure in the back, to the lamellar and it made a huge difference in heat disipation and mobility. I liked the COP, but the Lamellar is better for me. There is conjecture on whe...

Snaebjorn, My friend, you are more than welcome to join the guncrew. Now that would have been a fun field trip! Edging, yes. Your lacing looks good, but you might want to loosen up the last couple rows to allow for more movement. I uses a thin but strong grey slit leather for my edges, and made a floting row that act like a belt, and layered the upper sections and lower drop panels to either allow for directe...
