Here's the completed SCA sword and scabbard combo. The hilt and pommel are made from glued and sewn stacked leather. The handle was wound with sisal twine soaked in glue, then covered with leather. The scabbard is almost complete- I'll post pics tonight.

As for price, given the amount of work I have in this I'd have to charge $100 for a plain scabbard and $150 for a tooled one. A belt would be extra, depending on what hardware the buyer wanted, and if they wanted tooling or not.

I've had good results with glue-hardening leather. Mix nine parts water to one part Titebond 2 (or 3) glue. Soak leather in it overnight, then bake at 180 degrees until nearly dry.
