I have store credit with Gruber. He would be a good choice. When my family and I visit the inlaws I can visit Gruber and get his advice.

It is not that I have tons of cash to burn but a projected 5 year timeline at even $100 per month comes out to $6K.

My local practice is ~2K miles from where I plan on retiring and fighting. I admit that until my wife decides where we will life, I'm a bit flapping regarding the fighting group. So far it could be almost anywhere (OH, CO, OR, WA, CA, NM, WY, NE....).

I wasn't looking at going with a light helmet. However I think spring stainless would be best for most of the kit for durability and portablity. The mafia idea is good. I like the angel wing jupon idea too.

I like the folding armour ideas, and spring stainless. It sounds strange but combat archery might be off the list due to volume and weight.
