I believe so (for the overnight trip). If you're here for the week, we could put you up in the hotel ($30 per night, with three TVs, three beds, kitchenette, japanese bath and complimentry breakfast) locally (that's about 2 hours southeast).

Your options are: 1. The Chef Option: Save up more and get what you want. 2. The Amature Armourer Option : Get some sheet steel, a hammer, a stump (plenty in Maine). Cut your steel, debur your steel, and then start banging on your steel until it fits right. And, go to the library and check out a lot...

This would be my first time wearing besages, so I'm up for lots of advice. But, I know they are period-correct for my time (1460 AD, England) when they came back into fashion. I'm looking at how to keep my shoulders from sliding back, and protect against those armpit / shoulder joint shots the guys ...

How big do you want 'em, and how much fluting? I could spend a late night or two in the shop next week.... I think I'm looking for something 5-8 inches in diameter, with possibly 4-8 flutes. If everyone could put up the availablity (most important) and cost (less important) it would be great. -Aaron

Something in stock, and ready to ship this week would be best...or if it could be produced by the end of next week.

So fast and good is what I'm looking for.

Price can be discussed.

Please post your bid/comment here.

Thanks,

WANTED: Fluted Besages in Stainless (fluted)

Howdy, I'm looking for in-stock (or close to it) besages in stainless. My very beautiful pauldrons keep riding back, and I'm exposed in front (a bit). Besages would help offset the weight of the fluted dragon wings in the back, and bring the pauldron forward a bit. Any suggestions? Thank you, Aaron

Howdy, While I can't participate in this event, it looks GREAT! m Check out the photos! SEM would have to have CPR on the spot! The protection is just goggles, and they're firing arrows tipped with cotton balls, and fighting with lightly padded boffers! AND there is a river crossing and beachhead in...

How does the groove show, after it's taped? I'd be mostly concerned that it will weaken the blade. Yes, it shows. I made sure it shows so that the Marshalls can look at it, and know beyond doubt that it's not cored, or ready to be cored. If I covered up the fuller, it would look like I had it prepe...

Can you put a "fuller" into a SCA sword?

Howdy, Today I shaved down a 2 inch thick peice of rattan to 1.25 inches, and then cut a groove (like a fuller on a sword) down the center, on each side, not cutting the blade in two. The sword felt obviously lighter, swung very well (even whistled a little) and so far hits fine. I'm waiting for the...

Ouch.

I guess I'll just have to stay with stainless.

High carbon steel would be nice, but with two kids and a really demanding schedule, I fear I would come back from working overseas to find a wonderful pile of high carbon steel rust, soon to be watered by my tears.

Thanks,
