Drat. I've got parts for body armour like that on order with Vulcan Forge, but an opportunity like that doesn’t come up that often. I was going to buy the rig, and use the parts from Vulcan Forge to make armour for a local KSCA who’s just getting back in after a twenty year hiatus. It ...

Waiting patiently...like a salivating, starving dog in front of a well seasoned, cooked rare T-bone steak.

Now to make a device with "Protect My Postieror From the Peerage" around it.

Howdy Brian, Vitus and others who own this wonder,

How much does it weigh?

How well does it hold up to the dirt, grime and sweat of tourney life?

Can my wife, two kids and I...and four sets of armour...fit in the tent?

Thanks!

Is it possible to to get homesick if it's no longer your home? Yes. I fear leaving here. Steel rules the roost here, and Avalon is leading the local SCA down the path of steel. It's epidemic. Our Baronial Tourney looked like a high-end Pas de Arms. I'm overarmoured for the SCA (by a WIDE margin), a...

1) Do you wear padding, and if so, can you lessen it? It sounds like you really dont need much, if any. I have a padded gambeson from Revival Clothing, and some light closed cell foam glued to the inside of my elbow cop so a Marshal doesn't freak (and I'm legal...). I wear a standard plastic cup. I...

I know my forearms and completely numb. I asked several times for very skilled fighters like Lord Noe to fire shots at my forearms while I stood there...I felt a twinge, sort of like the same feeling I get when I move my arm in the vambrace. If I was fighting, I doubt I would notice it at all. Two ...

If multiple people are telling you that you are not acknowledging blows, then I'd take the advice gratefully-there are probably many more that are not giving you the courtesy of talking to you about it-but will talk to others behind your back. Aaaron.. any chance theres a numb spot on your armor? One of our guys many years ago got a severe dressing down from a Knight for being "numb" after the knight hit him in the kidney area several times with no acknoledgement. [SCA] What is a "good shot"?

Howdy, I've all but been accused of rhino-hiding because I don't accept shots that I can't feel at all. The shots I throw aren’t hard enough for some, unless I fire a step-in roundhouse with the polearm to the grill and move them a couple of feet -- and then I'm borderline excessive. I've kno...

Vail's Charge -- 100 pounds of steel plate and mail hitting three noble opponents like a 18 wheeler hits three mopeds on the Tomei Expressway. Go from the bottom to the top on this one, for some reason.

Do you have any spaulders?

Having spaulders that hang down like that is period correct...and would protect my armpits some.
