Re: Auction: Atlantian Sweat Lodge (Dayshade)
Richmond, VA is two hours and 15 minutes away. Duke Logan, unless you have moved from Palm Beach, Florida, Bdeb is closer. Palm Beach is over 14 hours away!

Re: Auction: Atlantian Sweat Lodge (Dayshade)
Ah, Duke Logan, you are FAR from a 2 hour one-way drive away from Ft. Meade, MD. Shipping is a no-go, but delivery within that two hour (or even three in some cases) drive is a go. But you are in the land of beaches, bikinis, martini's and Miami Vice soundtracks, far from the sweltering cesspool tha...

:( It wasn't like that at all. Andre II was just making armour for himself for fun I think. It was just amazing to see such talent in somebody who does not yet qualify to go to kindergarten yet! And he's in a place where his talents can only grow under a father who loves to see his son's talents exp...

Re: Auction: Franciscan Stoneware
Top bid is $100. Which is a GREAT price IMO and I'll be glad to sell it at that price...but the auction continues until my wife's birthday on 02SEP12, when we drive around and drop our excess stuff off with those who can put it to use AND Maureen gets some cash to burn on her birthday!

OK, now I'm amused. I could see the reply back two weeks later:
"Well, there was some damage but with a little application of armouring I've restored your helmet to it's orginal state, but added a heads-up display and 360 degree monitors."

William is the highest bidder right now with $75. He withdrew a bid from one of my other auctions, so he might withdraw here as well. I think he was aiming for the tripple-win for the klapvisor.

Ice Falcon & Son Win Again!
Hi, Yesterday my family and I drove up to New Jersey to visit one of Ice Falcon and his son at one of Ice Falcon’s armouries. We bought: 1. A mail coif to compliment my wife’s fencing helmet, and cover a rather bad gap in the neck protection that she needed to get covered. 2. I put a down payment on...

Re: Auction: Atlantian Sweat Lodge (Dayshade)
It's tougher stuff. That's probably one reason it's the sweatlodge. It's more like the synthetic aircraft hangers we put up for Army aviation. Tough stuff, but not bullet proof. It would take effort to cut it, but wear-and-tear over the years have caused one pinprick hole near the top. It's about as...

There has been some furious action on the weapons thread, so I figured to bump this up to see if there could be some fights over plates and goblets.
Remember, I'm of Greek heritage and so are my kids, so it's amazing that these plates have survived this long!

Re: My Wife and Daughter got to fence last night...
Caitlin was funny. She hits and accepts WAY too hard for fencing. It was "GIGGLE!!! OUCH!!! GIGGLE!!" Helena was also funny. A couple of days ago I was putting Maureen's swords in the car and Helena ran up suddenly and as I tossed the swords into the car, she got hit with the blade of the swords. I ...

My Wife and Daughter got to fence last night...
...and Maureen (wife) only left the field after she got so much exercise she wobbled to the car. She fought two handed sword with a good fellow who knows what he's doing and she had a GREAT time while I chased Helena (toddler) around and kept her out of trouble by teaching her how to turn the car on...

Yes, still a local pick-up. Now if you can drive to within two hours of Fort Meade, MD, I will deliver the goods to you (if you win). So you don't have to drive to me, I can meet you half-way.

SCA fighting in Albuquerque?
Hi,
I'll be in Albuquerque and I MIGHT be able to bring my "flight" armour with me, if I have someone to fight 18-21SEP12. Yes, I will have a rental car.

At this point you could lower your bid to $1 and still be in the lead. The objective is to get these away from the "Smasher of Everything" and into safe hands, and maybe make a little money. You are the ONLY bidder, so you could withdraw the other bids and go with $1 and STILL be in the lead. You ar...

Re: Auction: Franciscan Stoneware
Certainly acceptable! $75 is now the high bid. And so far we've had THREE bids, all from the same Archive member who is a massive bidding war against himself, but I think he's winning!
Seriously, yes $75 is the high bid right now, and you are firmly in the lead.

Wow, I totally forgot to put in that I measured it! It was 160 inches on each side, forming a square. 13 feet and 4 inches on each side. I haven't measured the height, but the tip of the flagpole reaches the roof on the garage on the 2nd story of the house, and I'm taking pictures of the dayshade fr...
