Many of these concerns would be addressed by simply wearing armour in a game that is supposed to simulate armoured combat. Now, I understand some trepidation about taking an extra hard face shot and having your head snapped back suddenly. But I have no fear at all of taking a gut shot from one of th...

Make the product nice. Tailor the shape, trim plates, edge it and such and you might have a market. Especially if you are using an interesting type of plate that is hard to find elsewhere.

If you just lace them together with nylon cord I don't see anyone paying extra for it.

The choice, look good or optimize your fighting, is one that every fighter must face. Your fighting skill will gain you renown, but your appearance can be just as important. With all due respect, I don't think the choice is between looking good and figthing well. You can look great and be a great f...

When we had a fireplace, my parents had a piece of porous stone, volcanic I think, on a metal handle. It sat in oil, until it was needed. You lit it in one part of the fire and moved it to another spot. It burned for quite some time if I recall.

Most likely not medieval, but it may work.

Greaves are not required for SCA. So they could be made of tin foil and still be legal.

That is as long as they aren't spiked or bladed.

I have knee cops attacked to the shorts. However, I'm not going to be a good judge of how well they take a shot by themselves. My armour has tassets and usually a maille fauld.

The hockey pants are more of an extra "oh shit" piece in case something slips by the rest.

I never noticed this

I've always thought this was a jupon worn over a breastplate. I've never noticed the lance rest before. Now I'm confused. Fabric covered armour would not have all of those wrinkles, but a jupon would not have a lance rest. Could the jupon have a hole cut in it for the rest? [img]http://effigiesandbr...
