When I got the job teaching high school I stopped fighting regularly. Of course I pretty much stopped going out of the house, seeing friends, eating, or anything else fun for that matter. When I stopped teaching I wanted to fight again, but I didn't have any insurance. I fight a few times a year now...

NICE, but I just got new gaunts at pennsic. Let me see how the changes in my job work out and I may order a set.

However, that thumb makes me a bit nervous. Is it floating? If so, is there a way to hard point it and still articulate properly?

I had a set and I liked them. For $90 you cannot beat them.

I stopped using my old set because I couldn't bend my wrist right for greatsword. But he has re-designed them since then and my skills at modifying armour have improved, so I just bought a new set.

Making the links is quick and easy. You haven't saved much time there. Hooking everything together is the time consuming part, and you still have to do that even with what you have. I suspect your new method will not achieve the desired results and still take almost as long as a traditional method.

Back when I worked for the VA Game Dept. we got calls all the time asking if there was a spear and javelin season. Sad to say, VA does not have one.

We did get one guy who called and asked if it would be legal to leap out of a tree onto the back of a deer and stab it to death with bowie knives.
