I have to agree with that one. You grab it, it is up to you not to see it broken. If you break it, you owe me a new one. But don't blame me because I didn't want you playing with my toy. It's mine, and I have every right to try to keep it. Now, it would be different if you grabbed it and some other ...

Skirted armour isn't always a bad thing. The armour we are ASUMED to be wearing is skirted in a way. I once had a guy at a practice try like hell to land a butt wrap on me (new round shield, couldn't block it). Every shot was light. I was wearing skirted maille at the time that took all the oomf out...

Jacob, at least give them the name of your Baron so it can be corrected.

The man in the black armour with the yellow arming coat is Baron Edwin, current Baron of Black Diamond, Atlantia.

I'll see if my parents will scan that old pic they have of me. For some reason, no matter how many pictures I send of my nice, accurate current kit, my mother has to set out the pic of my newbie kit.

We could try going by heraldry, and warcries like they did back then.

Oh wait, that might require some sort of effort or something.

I'm thinking of buying some colored tape of my own this year, tape on for battles, tape off for tourneys.

I've already replaced the scales. Though I had to sacrifice a couple of would be belts in the process.

As for using rawhide, I have no intention of cutting out 300 more of these little buggers and punching over 2000 more holes.

I've already replaced my hole punch as well.

I've been working on a leather lammellar harness for myself. I've gotten a few hundred scales cut out and punched. Time to harden them a bit, since some a a little thin. Now, I knew that I didn't want to get the water too hot or they would shrivel. Unfortunatly I forgot about it and it started to bo...

ok, how bout this one. I am very right handed. I have tried 2 sword and did not like it at all. However, when fencing my favorite form is epee and dagger.

perhaps with heavy fighting (2 stick) I should fight with a broadsword and a thrusting dagger.
any comments?

hmm, get a low profile shoulder cop (the upper part of a spaulder) and paint it flat black. then conceal it with leather strips hanging down from the breastplate

maybe not period, but more acceptable than just hooking on a pair of 14 century spaulders

I'll take a shot at it, I would call it a sort of halberd. It has a choppy part, a pointy part at the top, and the bottom (bonus) and some sort of spikey things on the back of the blade. more importantly though, I want one so many different typs of polearms, my closet couldn't possibly hold them all

I know a guy who made his own armour (minus the helmet) and had every rivit folded over. When I asked him why he didn't peen them instead he replied t...
