Early period Lammellar

What patterns could have been used in Eastern Europe around the begining of the 9th century? If anyone has a pattern to post I would appreciate it.

Technically, I think that even a maille coif with an arming cap would be legal if it covered the face as well.
16 guage steel with no open greater than 1 inch, 1/2 inch padding, and covering all the needed areas
Now try passing that!

How to place the horn for drinking depends on the shape of the horn. With mine, I have to point the tip of the horn to the right or the left. Pointing it up or down results in a big mess.

They are correct as far as I know. It is not a historical design. However, I would not be offended at all to see it on the field. My suggestion would be to lean towards the earlier time period aspect of the helmet. You may not be able to nail down a specific era or culture, but you can get the right...

I agree that I have seen several nice looking japanese kits made of plastic. But there is an easy way for them to be in compliance. The rules allow for the plastic to be painted over. Simply laquer the plastic. You will not only be within the rule, but will appear even more period to boot.

construction of a brigindine

In Osprey's warrior series #35 the English Medieval Knight 1400-1500 the artist shows a closup of a brigindine inside where it looks like the plates are rivited together and through the fabric. I was under the impression that brig plates were not rivited together but only through the fabric. Am I wr...

seriously, I fight because it is fun. Therefore I want a fun oponent more than anything else fighting wise. Winning and loosing are secondary.
I guess that means my ideal opponent would be equal in skill to me and have a great attitude to boot.

There is no age requirement. Under the family plan even a toddler can be a member. As far as I know, as long as you can send the membership fee to the head office there are no problems.

Or are you asking how old you need to be to fight?
