They are correct as far as I know. It is not a historical design. However, I would not be offended at all to see it on the field. My suggestion would be to lean towards the earlier time period aspect of the helmet. You may not be able to nail down a specific era or culture, but you can get the right...

Thank you Your Majesty. That was exactly the point I was hoping to get across on another thread. If your harness falls within the spirit of the rules ask the King for permission to use it. Most Royals are very reasonable people and if you have made a good attempt at a period looking harness permissi...

I'm cross posting this onto the exposed plastic thread as well. Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems to me that the King has the power to suspend this law for a person within his tourney. If a person feels that his armour falls within the "spirit of the law" though it is not within the "letter of ...

While I agree that you would be narrowing your available pool of fighters this type of event would have more drawing power for some of us. I would be willing to drive further for a tourney of this style than a standard double elim or round robin. I'm sure that there are others that would as well. To...

construction of a brigindine
In Osprey's warrior series #35 the English Medieval Knight 1400-1500 the artist shows a closup of a brigindine inside where it looks like the plates are rivited together and through the fabric. I was under the impression that brig plates were not rivited together but only through the fabric. Am I wr...
