Your Grace, when I put together my lamellar I had a heck of a time finding red paracord. I don't know what other colors are out there, but that is one option at least.

I never found red paracord, I got something else that was much more expensive and not nearly as durable.

Torso and arms? Heavy leather, no padding required.

That is what I wear in melees, when I'm going to do a lot of running around.

The armour I wear in tourney is much heavier for persona reasons, not safety.
