Re: Armour and Rattan for Sale

I only have the arms and a few sticks of rattan left to sale. It is getting close to the holidays, maybe there is a fighter who would like a nice set of arms or some new rattan. All of the untaped rattan has never been used before it is brand new, the piece that is taped has been used. Come on lets ...

Things are moving, but not as fast as I would like. If you see something you like, make me an offer. The worst that could happen is I say yes and you have a new piece of armor or rattan.

Armour and Rattan for Sale

I am getting out of the SCA Heavy combat and I would like to sale my equipment, as it is not doing me any use at the moment. I had fought in the SCA for 4 years and this is the stuff that I have left to sale. On the shipping I will use the lowest cost method be it flat rate or priority mail for ship...

Re: Blackstone Raid XXI

I just heard from our MOL that we had 169 heavy fighters, 31 fencers and there were 14 Authorizations completed at Blackstone Raid. I wanted to thank all of the heavy fighters for coming out and running through the scenarios. I hope that everyone had fun with them. Also, there were some weapons, a s...

Here is some information that might help you decide to come if you are still on the fence. If you pre-register the cost is $18, but if you wait and pay when you arrive on site the cost is $20. Many people have mentioned the cabins, it cost $15 for a bed for the entire event of if you prefer camping ...

Re: Blackstone Raid XXI

This event is not a war, but is a pretty large melee event. The Mid-realm is invading the southern lands of AEthelmearc. The armies of AEthelmearc and it's allies skirmish against the army of the Mid-realm and it's allies. In the past there has been around 250-300 fighters on the field. The attendan...

Blackstone Raid XXI

Friends and allies of AEthelmearc heed our call!!! The Dragon of the Kingdom of the Midrealm stirs from winter slumber. The forges are cold and soon the Barony of Blackstone Mountain in the Kingdom of AEthelmearc will be raided for its coveted black stones. The time is growing nigh to be counted amo...

Boot dyeing

As part of mine and my wife's christmas present to each other, we got some new shoes for our SCA personas. We ended up getting some shoes from Boots by Bohemond. Re: Torchlight Tourney

Our Barony has some torches that we have used for our torchlight tournaments. The torches are made from 1/2" copper pipe with couplings, so that they can be broken down for transport. We use a propane tank to provide the fuel for the touches, each torch has a regualator like the ones on gas gri...

Lamellar Plate Dimensions

I am wanting to change my SCA armor, and have decided to go with lamellar. I am going to make my plates out of plastic, and will hide it under my fighting tunic. I know I could do it out of metal, but I can make the plastic plates faster and cheaper. I have found a source for 1/8" - 4'x8' Polyp...

Battle Scenarios

I was wondering the different types of battles that you have fought in at SCA events? Most of the events I have been to have had had melee's, bridge battles, and some sort of gate/pass battle. Some of the battles have had some objective, such as hold the gate as long as possible, or capture a flag g...

I am contemplating making some chainmail.
