Re: FS: Fully-Loaded and Stunning Stainless Baronial Bascine

Oh, I know. I've done similar before. (Fighting in a polyester fill gambeson in Arizona summer heat was about as bad...) For that matter, ACW re-enacting in winter weight wool in August in Socal was something I never want to do again... Its kit I will only use in winter or cold weather, and for phot...

Re: FS: Fully-Loaded and Stunning Stainless Baronial Bascine

That is some seriously beautiful kit. I'm especially impressed by the brocade gambeson. VERY nice- and sets the rest of the ensemble off perfectly. An upholstery fabric, from the looks of it? Probably an expensive one...but worth it. Now I have to go stalking the fabric and upholstery shops again......

They only come in four sizes, and since it fits Vince, its not a child or man over 6'3". :)
(read, munchkin or brute squad.)

I believe its a default man's size, but I can have a look weekend after next if necessary.

Re: Can't....resist....need to post picture of my new Helmet

Now that is a lovely piece of kit. :D

The visor is longer than I like on a hounskull/pigface, but thats personal taste talking.
I like the eyeslots slightly closer to my face.

Nice lines though, and that has to be the finest looking bargrill I have yet seen on the changeout set.

Ah, thanks for the reply. Well, as far as rondel elbows are concerned- this one is from the Talbot's fine accesories instruction series- m Not flared, and the other images I can find seem about evenly split on flared or non. Odd question- but are those flared edges on the knees and elbows actually separate pieces riveted in? (Not the brass, of course.) Any advice on wearing them with sabatons?
