Re: Looking for advice re: dissatisfied customer.

Nope. The moment they performed a significant alteration which makes the helm unsalable, they forfeited the right to a refund. Do you have a clause in your terms of service that states refunded items must be in original condition? Most do, and even if not, its just an assumption that you cannot get ...

Hm, that looks like the older version of the GDFB 14gauge bascinet. The brass strip decoration is identical, and the vervails look the same as the 16 gauge version. I tried to find some images of the older version for comparison, but was not successful. The oculars on the new version are different a...

It is carbon steel.

Most of my blades are made from chain saw bars or antique saw blades.
This one is chain saw stock.

I have an ancient maker's mark stamp that I have not used in years because it is damaged. I never had a reason to replace it, because I had stopped making knives for a while. When I started again, I did not have the money to replace it. This would be suitable for the crusades era, to maybe around th...

Re: (Another) Positive Iron Badger review

Thanks for the review, Sevastian. :) The mushroom rivets were something that I debated for months. However, the problem I had was that the large rivets appear to be a post period styling detail on kindjals, as I could not find them on anything provably earlier than about the mid to late 19th century...

Sheaths are extra.

I don't usually offer sheaths already made on larger knives, because so many folks like to make their own, and usually want to save a buck by doing so.

I did look up sashimi knives.

I'm afraid the antique carbon steel I generally use is likely not suitable for knives made to cut up seafood.
(Rust is a concern.)

Sorry.

I'm left handed too, actually. :) So... Basically a 8 to 10 inch antler hilted dagger is what you're after? Details free to play with? I can keep that in mind easily enough. Has to wait till I have more antler though. My current supply is mostly in the form of very thin, short pieces more suited to ...

Well...More accurately, I do not know what features a sashimi knife requires.

I haven't made kitchen knives for a couple of decades.

I can look into it.
