Eye protection, check. Shooting glasses get a face shield,(no kidding my uncle got a piece of metal in his eye grinding wearing his glasses) it has way better protection than shooting glasses. How well would rubber hammers work in the place of leather hammers.

The only thing I've used so far is 3/16in, but like every one else says it depends what your making. In genral I guess the thicker the metal the bigger the rivet.
