I would highly suggest Windrose for the buckler. I got one for Christmas and it is a tank of a shield.

I am interested in the blade with the white hilt. I don't think the blade itself is legal here in Trimaris, but that is easily fixed. I have a women's fencing mask that I recently got off the AA, but it is too small for my melon head. I would be willing to trade if you are interested. ~Roz Well unf...

After inspecting these further the blade by itself is made by Solingen, and the complete sword in the middle is made by Negrini. The dagger has a makers mark that has a 4 abouve an AB and the other sword has no distinguishable marks on it.

So today a local lady let me rummage through her storage locker for some of her late husband's SCA gear. A lot of the stuff was destroyed by moths and/or was simply out dated. In with the gear i found some light fighting swords that are not legal in my kingdom, so i figured i would place them up her...

Jestyr, If that were true then the SCA would be at its largest numbers today than it ever has been. The opposite, though, is what's true. We look better than we ever have before but our numbers continue to go down. There are many factors that go into this but I am positive that the cost to play for...

Get some roofing nails and some small washers. Cheap and sturdy rivets. May last a little longer than the copper.

I think it is the "Get them on the field at low cost" mentality that is the issue. Quantity over quality, An unfortunate American mentality. No, I don't think it's as simple as that. I'm all for throwing stones at our WalMart mentality when it is warranted, but I don't believe this to be one of tho...

I also highly recommend Hjalmr. He is a great guy and his products are worth more than you pay for them. Also if you need bracers and elbows and whatnot i do some leather armor making and i could get some stuff made for you if you are interested. Just PM me and let me know.
