The original design was made up by Greenshield here and with his permission i am trying to make some of these and sell them to anyone who is interested. (trying to keep a little gas in my car...

Re: new arms. (Thanks to Magnus's pattern help)

the elbow cop is just a variation of the one on the AA with the round pieces of leather stitched over the top of them just to add a little more protection on those points of my elbow. The forearm section is just a generic pattern for a vambrace that i just found online and added some leather splints...

Re: Leather kidney belt and some random gear sale (pic heavy

well it all really depends on the amount of padding you use. also the straps are long so with a tape measure it measures roughly 44" from buckle to strap tip. i outgrew it a bit (packed on a few lbs) but it would be easy to just sew another square of leather on the opposite side to fill the gap...

Re: Stainless vs. Mild

well I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that mild is more prone to rust, but is an easier material to work with. Stainless is shiny while mild (in most cases) is a duller version of steel. just an observation, but I'm no metal worker.

Hjalmr makes a Rus helm that could easily be turned into a mongol helm. His helms are bomb proof and budget friendly.

i just finished my lamellar just before gulf wars. It is similar to magnus's but i made rectangle plates instead of the rounded ones. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a152/jdreadrocker/189598_1613691463483_1272183665_31308223_4049578_n.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a152/jdreadrocker/199010_...

depends on what you mean by that guy i guess. whats on your mind? STOP SLOUCHING IN YOUR PICTURES. lol I guess i do need to stand a bit straighter. chalk the slouching up to 5 years in a job where i was constantly bending over to pick up large cases. Guess that can be the next improvement to my kit.
