Re: Late Roman Helm and Horsehair Crest for Sale / Trade

I love this helm and almost bought it when it was originally up for sale. However upon further consideration it would certainly not have fit my head. That being said, what a great helm and that liner is just awesome.

May wanna check with hjalmr for a helmet. From what I hear he makes primo helmets and at an amazing bang for the buck. Just remember....it's your brain you're protecting with that thing. Shell out a few more bucks for something that is tough and fits right.

Sorry to say but I won't be at Ruby this year, we are going out of town beforehand. I wish I was though, I was hoping to fight. Oh well, next year. I don't have any issue meeting you with it tomorrow or first thing Saturday morning though depending on where you are/where you're coming from. PM me. :)

Thanks for the compliment :) i agree it is a very good price. Forgot to mention it comes with two ten round mags (stock pinky extension tupe) Oh sure! Rub it in. NY legal mags to boot. Next you'll tell me it's a two-tone or has wooden grips, or something else to make it "pretty" (I'm a sucker for a...

H&K USPc in 95% condition. About 500 rounds through it since I've owned it. It is a DAO in .40. 575 shipped to your FFL from mine (conus only), or face to face is fine as well. Quite underpriced for a firearm of this quality if I do say so myself. Why am I selling? Because I want to drop a new engin...

In the press, I find a lot of guys can't tell a thrust from their buddy's shield or someone's elbow hitting them. Too much jostling going on. when they are static, it is usually easier. Probably the same way we all do, there is a *lot* of info on Eff's site. I have an advantage as I have a pretty extensive Japanese armour library and handled a fair few while I was there, so I don't *have* to use Eff as a primary source. It sure is easier though. Ive been reading his site a b...

Chances are if you are looking to do Sugake Odoshi (partial lacing) style lacing you'll have plates that are cut to look like iyo-zane scales, not the actual scales. Iyo-zane (and Hon Kozane like in the picture above) were used with Kebiki Odoshi (full lacing) style lacing. The difference between i...

I'm okay with taking time to put it together if necessary. But i don't really have the tools or skills necessary to make my own plates, and I'd like to probably have something like a nuinobe dô with the iyo zane (or at least plates made to look like iyo zane). So the scales above are not quite what ...

Technically a pole arm or great sword over "x" inches in length should be illegal when used one handed, right? I have run into this issue in Atlantia. Perfect or not, whatever man...it looks cool. I dig the blackened steel look, very awesome and nothing says emo I mean intimidating like black armor (I kid, I kid...I wear black armor too!). Good stuff. And like a previous poster said loads better than a barrel.
