Re: Ballista Construction Question

I did both - extended the crank handle and increased to radius of the wench. The Tuchux Balista Wenches can crank the string back to fire position in 4 revolutions. I used a modern crank for safty concerns - simply I trust the steel commercial engineering vs. my own fabrication. Also, rate of fire i...

Re: Off topic: Looking for an FN FS2000

Yep. A good day at the range or when I go to the cabin will run me $300. Wish I could blow that anytime I wanted - guess I'm in the minority. I shoot muzzel all day long for $20. And yes, the barrel, same as any of my civilian legal rifles so unless you have 5 different barrels for everyone of your ...

Re: Off topic: Looking for an FN FS2000

I like mine. I like the ejection port out front and that it retains 5 brass before dumping. I think this gun is for close qtrs and isnt a long range gun - same barrell length as an ar. Its quick, light and fun to shoot. The only drawback Ive run across is that the magizine wont drop out - you have t...

Re: Pennsic Sides?

Why do you assume no Aethel-martians or Atlantians? Would make sense for the unbelts to be between East/Mid and Aethelmearc/Atlantia, they being the primary sides. That was what I immediately assumed. The unbelted champions should be intersting ... 1. no Aethel or Atlantians and 2. who will the Eas...

Re: Pennsic Sides?

Nissan, I agree. In fact I must admit my error - my original comment was intended to discuss the Allies fight - I dont care about the unbelted. I will be intersting to see how that battle is dealt with politically when Aethel and Atlantia are removed from the mix. I usually get 12 - 15 spots so if t...
