Re: Pheonix Dawn COP: Chapter 3. The Mask

To have so much talent and potential and not being able to express it...I feel like throwing up. I've already paid and sacrificed so much. Life sucks.

Re: Pheonix Dawn COP: Chapter 3. The Mask

My bike had a flat, so I walked the two miles. So far I've waited 4 hours and no one has showed up. My landlord will be showing up later in the day, but for now this is pure torture. I should have brought my laptop so I could actually do something productive...what a waste of time.

I'm going to challenge myself to complete all of the rough-shaping on the mask tomorrow, then start on the helmet top the day after.

Re: Pheonix Dawn COP: Chapter 3. The Mask

Haha, yeah; I was expecting to be sore the next day, but thankfully I was not, ergo I've made more progress today, however not as much as I'd like to have made (since the person supervising left early). I installed my gas saver though. There's a 95% chance that there'll be someone at the workshop th...

Re: Pheonix Dawn COP: Chapter 3. The Mask

Hmm, I couldn't log in for the entire night. Anyway, I swung my hammer non-stop for 6 hours yesterday; I stopped when I didn't have any strength left in my right wrist to hold the workpiece up. Anyway, I'd say I'm about 50% done with the rough shaping. :D I'll be in the workshop from now until Novem...

Hehe :D I plan on armouring (as a hobby) for the rest of my life; might as well invest in the best tools I can afford.

Will be meeting up with my landlord at around 10-11am today.

Well, going back to China is out of the situation. Apparently my dad is a compulsive liar. I've heard the community college here is practically free; aside from a registration fee.

Re: Pheonix Dawn COP: Chapter 2. Cloak Embroidery

Ok, well my dad in China says misses me and wants me to move back. If I move back, I'll have all the free time in the world to work on my suit of armour and 3d modeling. The problem with living in China is the pollution and horrible internet connection. The problem with living in the US is that I'll...

3d modeling is by-far, the most fun I've had in years. :D

Once I'm done with the human model, I'll start modeling the clothing and armour!

Nah, I wouldn't just disappear like that...I still have a full suit of armour to make! Accel world is just fantastic. The character personalities are sooooo well designed. This is actually pretty cool. I have no sympathy for a person who fishes with explosives, but if I were to lose a limb, I'd replace it with an armoured gauntlet that has a flamethrower inside/spring-loaded sword etc.

Re: Pheonix Dawn COP: Chapter 2. Cloak

I've folded the cloak in half and am in the process of transferring my design. I'm aiming for a quality on par or above authentic royal regalia; these are just the basic shapes that I'm chalking. Later, the entire thing will be hand-embroidered with gold, white, brown and black threads, studded with...

Re: Pheonix Dawn COP: Chapter 1. Cutting

The bad news is that I might not be able to use a welding torch until mid september. The good news is; I have cloth and leather. However they're both not the right colour. The red is too light, and the leather needs to dyed darker as well. Hemp cloth is expensive ($25/sq yard or .9144m squared), but...

I think it looks fantastic, the pattern layout and the brushed copper color of the sponges. Although I highly doubt it would be any stronger than wearing cardboard. Maybe it was just a fancy outfit for special occasions?
