I figured if enough metal was to be used for a CoP-like construction of cuisses as mentioned earlier where metal would cover everything important in the thigh without leaving gaps, why not just use the same amount of metal (if not less) to make a full plate c...

I'd use the reaper if I were 'above'...on horseback, leaning out of a truck window, that sort of thing. The spit would be perfect for foot combat...actually, both would be- that extra reach would be beneficial in keeping that muck off you. Like the stabby one...see if I can't get one.

Could you do one w/out the mail drape? If so, how much for it to be padded/lined for a 23 1/2" head? I'll be wearing a mail coif underneath and my head is 22 3/4".

Well Oolak, Funny you should mention that. The tan soles are available, but are not everywhere. Seems the government is stopping production of sand boots with the tan bottoms and is going back to the traditional boot with black soles. SO, they are becoming a little harder to come by. Mine's pretty nice.

Not too thick at all. But I know what you mean...any of the wood-cored ones from Windlass are quite thick and bulky.
