Re: Documentation for fabric covered scabbards?

I have only read one reference, and it was in an historical fiction setting so I take that as artistic license. In theory, I guess it could've been used, hm. I was going to say that perhaps the durability of linen, wool, broadcloth, whatever might not have been up to snuff for being wrapped around a...

Are these Rus pants supposed to be so baggy? Excellent workmanship but I have no idea as to size...I just know the pair I got sent, my wife and both can fit into them- not the lower leg part but the rest, yea.

Huh. That might be a touch tight in a gambeson...still, it would mean I don't have to tailor the body too much. Wait, what am I talking about...that's a mortgage payment and I'm not quite up to spending that much just yet. Still, good to know so thank you for the info, YG.

How do you make the horn cups? I wouldn't mind having a couple of those for my medieval minded guests when they come over for a visit.

I know a couple LH re-enactors who are serious about the craft, but they run with Lord Grey's Retinue, which makes them at or near 15th C. I've not come across any for the eras you've mentioned. I'm particularly interested in Frankish/Carolingian myself.

Agreed, YG. My only point to Dougal was that it may be a mere pittance for him, it is not necessarily so for the next man. FWIW, I still think you went above and beyond...as usual your customer service is above reproach but I wonder that this might open up the door.

I was going to ask a stupid question and stopped myself...getting better at that. I wouldn't let this instance put an end to something that seems to be a lot of fun for folks...it is another aspect of SCA to pursue for those less inclined to knighthood or more pastoral pursuits, right? Keep it. Besi...

Jestyr, I may have read it wrong, but that restocking policy has been in effect since 2010?
