Josh W, now that's a cool pic. Do the breath holes really give you enough to see by? Or is there a slit I'm missing?

I can't see that link here at work so I'll check it at home. Just to note- these shouldn't fit baggy, they're supposed to be relatively close to your body with the padding underneath the maille. Does make it awkward to put on and take off though, I do get that.

Re: Review of Armstreet full suits
Lloyd, I am afraid your straw man questions are irrelevant to my post. I dont think that anyone doing armour based on the 14th century should waste time and energy on something that is purely a fantasy addition to a piece. This is an active, intentional step away from accuracy wich is a bad thing a...

SwordNArmory's been around for quite some time...I want to say 10 years? Mostly Hanwei/GDFB wares w/regard to armor and accoutrements; you can find some decent stuff, especially amongst their katana lineup. I think I may have ordered something from them once; it was a small outfit when I was first i...

I have a question- you guys are talking about taking a cast of your bare legs- but don't you wear some kind of 'under armor' clothing? How does that change the dimensions for you, for the piece?

Sean, that shield link- it looks wonky and it wouldn't come up for me. Might want to check that. Also think you made the right choice (selling the lam and keeping the slit front COP).

Re: Academia.edu article - Williams - Bullet Dents in Armour
I'm not sure the article confirms that proofing shots were underpowered. As far as I can tell the article is saying that it isn't possible to tell the difference between a proofing shot and damage taken in battle. The dents could have been caused by a low-powered proofing shot or a spent bullet on ...

I assume these were made for you so some measurements are in order perhaps? They were not custom made. Matt asked for no measurements.
