Re: Dusting off the cobwebs
I would never have recognized Will McLean out of his serjeant's getup (which is wonderful); I read his blog from time to time and had the pleasure of meeting him at MTT as part of the other guy's retinue- not Lord Grey...was it Peel?

Hey, that one looks like it could be made for me- you do painting as well? Also want one of a dragon, much like the lion rampant (black dragon, blue background or vice versa).

Re: Tuchux banned from Pennsic?
Yea, I know the story behind it; was just stating that for the ones who go "ZOMG I SEE ANACHROJIZMZ HERE" as if they expected a documentary. I'm a Crichton fan, having read a few of his books that turned into movies; I liked Rising Sun and Jurassic Park, as well as Timeline. For Timeline, there were...

Re: Tuchux banned from Pennsic?
   C'mon, don't bust on my movie! I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux. Its a good movie, with some really iconic moments (and character...

if it is just for show, and not a lot of work is involved I could see $20 + shipping, or $30-35 shipped. Also depends on size; you have a size in mind?

Its a beautiful shield, but if I pay that much for a shield that is basically art, I'd want my heraldry reflected.

Re: Size 9 thigh high leather boots.
Hey Boris- so long as you're in the CONUS, $60 is the price including shipping. As for whether or not they are period for 15th C Italy, I couldn't say- but I could imagine it, which of course isn't helpful. Besides, with the heel and the zipper near the ankle to accomodate the foot passing into the ...

Well, there was William Langspee - he got that name because he fought with a sword that was longer than that of his contemporaries; it was the first one to come to mind because he is a contemporary of The Marshal.

I got a pair in size 10, same manufacturer I'm pretty sure if anyone's interested. I'll let'm go for $60 shipped as they're used and a little dusty. No issues or problems, I ended up w/a second pair because I thought these had gotten lost during the move.

Al does solid work and he's a good guy, it makes a difference. In my numerous dealings with him, I have never had an issue with anything- communication, presentation, workmanship, he aces them all. That'll be a nice complement to your harness once it is complete.

Re: Tuchux banned from Pennsic?
I have been the recipient of an illegal, over 90 degree blow from a pole arm, from behind, during a castle battle, by an Iron Lance fighter. They knew it and after I shook it off, I knew it. BT has it on tape and we all laugh because it does look like a wack-a-mole situation. It was an illegal move...
