So you're Joe Metz...I've seen pics of you from DoK with some of my brother knights; I like your harness but never caught the name. GLWS.

Edited to add: you mentioned item(s) - what else are you looking to rid yourself of?

Hi Mr. Talbot, I'm interested in creating a 13th C English knight persona; which of your books would be the best place to start?

I wonder if that's the same company that puts out all those 'meat' products, the Treet, potted meat, vienna sausages, chili et al.

Re: I Wanna Submit a new thread!

Thank you, Henrik! Seeing as I'm moving more toward a living history impersonation rather than SCA I can forego the hard/hidden armor and focus on the correct look. So it is a short sleeved haubergeon then, not the full sleeved hauberk?

IWTB: 13th Century English Knight

IWTB a 13th English Knight- I've seen a number of threads that deal with certain aspects (one on sword belts, another on ailettes for instance) but nothing that covers what I need. Armor - other than a hauberk, what sort of additions could I make (plate knees, elbows, shynbalds perhaps?) Soft kit - ...

I'm in for a coif and hauberk, where do I sign up? I've got the funds ready to go, in fact. Been shopping around for just this sort of thing; was pursuing overseas options since I didn't know of anyone doing this stateside. You're a lifesaver, man.

How accurate is the lamellar being made by Armstreet? I really like the way it looks; if I were going to do an Eastern impression, it'd be with lamellar. http://armstreet.com/catalogue/full/medieval-lamellar-leather-steel-armor-body-suit.jpg http://armstreet.com/catalogue/full/medieval-lamellar-stai...

One of those copper firepits ought to suit you nicely; should fit into a decent sized car trunk, but not that of an econobox.
