A strong means of attaching the rattan that will not break in combat. If welding tabs to the top and bottom of the basket- Don't use radiator hose clamps to hold the rattan. They break. Some make duct tape rope with a para cord core in its place. There is a thread on it here somewhere. I like there...

Reverse Crosscut This combo is great for overwhelming an opponent with a large shield and/or a tight defense, because you are attacking completely different corners in an order that most fighters do not expect...begin with a quick pump fake or something to freeze the opponent, then throw an offside...

The heaume should technically be big enough to fit over the bascinet/cervelliere with an unpadded suspension liner, so it's probably proportional. Get the kid a skullcap with a camail and he's good to go- he can grow into it. But he would be WAY over armored for combat with foam covered weapons. :l...
