Glad to have you back, Mike! I can now make my own mild cops, but I'm sure to be buying some stainless cops from you soon!

I'm making his gorget and though he has an inch or two on me in height we are very similar in most other measurements. From what I've seen the adjustments(I'm positive there will be adjustments) should be minimal. The only thing that concerns me is the torso armor's extended neck coverage. We'll see.

That looks to be a type of corrazina. I'm not sure if anyone is selling patterns for one such, but I think Pitbull is offering COPs though I can't say if he has them in kit form or as patterns.

Should be easy to lay out a pattern in cardboard, work out any fitment issues, then transfer to the plastic. I believe Pitbull still sells patterns as well.

It will be next Tuesday, the 8th as I'm currently in Disneyland and will be setting out for Las Vegas tomorrow. Suffice to say, it will hit with authority and look good doing it. When I get back, I will put some chrome duct tape on it 'cause I like blingy weapons.

Spectacular for a first helmet, I'd say! Do you have any more pics of the finished product-perhaps of you wearing it?

Positive review of Torvald
Ordered one of his hand axes last week and got it today. I can't wait to give it a try-it looks to be a solid hitter and a lot of fun fighting florentine with a sword(can you say shield-hook?).

I love my Aesir helmet and its proven to be a tank. All my dealings with Duke Eisfalke have been awesome. Customer service from either is second to none, IMHO.

I recommend Aesir Metalwyrks. Sir Dongal makes gorgeous helmets that are tough. He now offers a semi-custom line as well. That being said, if Duke Icefalcon has what you want buy from him with no reservations. His customer service is second to none.

This is a bit overdue, sorry Frank. I ordered a couple pairs of boots during the birthday sale, some two buckle boots for myself and luxury tall boots for my Wife. Frank was quick with all communication and update inquiries. On his advice, we went up a size for my Wife's pair and they fit like a glo...

C&T rapier is fun, you can get very creative with helms due to much lighter calibration and as long as blow recognition isn't a factor the rest of you can follow suit, so to speak. That reminds me, I need to work on my heavy rapier kit. Anyway, good luck with your sale. A chap as tall as you could w...

Russian dagger for rattan combat
I'm wanting to get serious about playing with greatsword and polearms(SCA armored combat) and wanted to know if there was a commonly worn dagger-I'm guessing 1000-1200 time period? I can make a rondel dagger easy enough, but if there were a specific style used, I'd rather go that route. The more I d...
