Re: Prototype Plastic Basket Hilt

I will be trying one of these in steel. Has anyone done so? I will be dishing as much as possible For strength. Would 16 gauge be enough in mild or should I go 14 gauge?

Re: Restart after failed starting

I fight in an aircraft aluminum COP over my zoombang. I wouldn't wear a zoombang alone. I recommend steel mittens over hockey gloves. I saw a local fighter take a short sword hit to his hand in a hockey glove. The hand required surgery.

Re: Need a Low-Profile Gorget

Sorry Rhyance but glad you like the end product. The turn around was far faster than normal for your gorget and wayne's due to a couple other projects falling through which freed up some time. In any case thank you both for the business!

Re: Need Early-Period Gauntlets

Darkwood stealth finger gaunts would look the best but mittens would be more protective, IMHO. Torvaldr mitts would be protective, light and look the business.

Re: Mild occular in progress. SOLD

I will confer with my local marshal and the new owner and make any needed changes. All of the helmets I've made til this one had their cheeks and back plates riveted only. It is something I will certainly address for any future helmets I make.

Re: Mild occular in progress. SOLD

Thank you. I'm not sure I'd do the WD 40 on black hot again but it really deepened the heat coloring. The chemical blackening merely evened things out. The fighter this is for was happy when he saw the completed photos and that's what really makes me happy. He will take delivery at a Pas this weekend.
