Re: Forming group in Alaska, need armor badly!

I can put the stainless Norman together for 200-220 plus shipping. It won't be fancy but it'd be list legal for a 24" melon. If anyone in your group is interested in doing a Roman impression, I also have this for sale: http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=174539 Feel free to PM...

Very interesting, especially since my friend will probably be wanting his B2 soon. I wonder how thick it'll go in stainless. It states up to 14 gauge mild.

It looks gorgeous in the pic which is shot nicely but you might want to post a slightly more stark photo which shows more of it. That being said. Wow!

Re: How to convert a rapier helm?

Then I'd go with 16 gauge mild perf since it'd be easier to weld to the helmet you have in mind. Enough to cover the eyes and breathes in the helmet. Enough to wrap around the back would be a good idea as this would keep weight down and make for great ventilation. A leather drape to finish covering ...

ii. The face must be covered by either 12 kilogram mesh (e.g, a standard fencing mask) or perforated metal. Such metal must not have holes larger than 1/8" (3 mm) in diameter, with a minimum offset of 3/16" (5 mm) and shall also meet the definition of rigid material. I've converted a few helmets usi...

A positive review: Master Llewellyn Gododdin

This started just before Pennsic, if memory serves. My Lady kept expressing an interest in a long sword for SCA rapier and C&T. I contacted Master Llewellyn via PM about commissioning one such. We worked out a design and all seemed well. The first armorer who was to supply the blade kept delaying so...

(Another) Positive Iron Badger review

I mentioned in a PM a while back that I'd be interested in a Kinjal that would more suit my Rus persona. Last week I get a PM from Iron Badger that he just finished a double edged Kinjal. I saw the pics, then I bit the bullet. It arrived yesterday and it's even prettier in person. 11 inches of blade...

I've used this product on helmets with great results. It's very strong stuff and must be used outdoors or with a lot of ventilation.
