Just to chime in....I dont know anyone that fights layered linnen. But leather linos are easy to make, extremely mobile, light, and surprisingly protective. I dont have any padding other than the leather and the only shots that sting are the side and kidneys. Camping foam or aluminum plates fix that...

It is just under 3x2. Its strapped to use as they actually did with spears. Plan on a second one for center to use with singles
