Turambar No, a smaller dish will be good for most things. The large dish is for helm halves. The dome things are of 2 types. the one on the far right on the anvil is a machined 4140 steel dome. The large one and the hammer domes are industrial pipe welding caps. Check at your local pipe supply, or a...

Gil you are venturing into power tools? I have been hypnotized by the buffer. 3400 rpm with an 8" wheel on a 2.5 horse power machine. It will catch you off guard and suck your work under and slap it around and smak you in the face. Thats not bad enough it will then throw it across the shop only to s...

That is why I never take any money up front.
What if I got sick or something?
What if I did not feel like fucking with it.
I have heard this story many times on the archive. I am sorry for your loss.

I was going to offer these ready made bench top stumps on the classifides. But the time required to build them is cost prohibitive. $90.00 Buwhahahah...

Ahhh the ol dishing stump question. You would think someone has done a fresh essay by now. "Put down the skill saw while you still have your nards". I like to put some BBQ brickets on it. add some lighter fluid. Burn for about a half hour or so. Stir around the coals to get a nice even burn. Maby ro...

Doh, that don't sound right. The nozzle should not get red hot. I have never seen that with my little propane torch or my oxy/acetylene. Get a new refill and if it still does it get a new torch tip. Take the empty back to the store you get your gas and ask them what to do with it. Or leave it on the...

I like these old pics. The speculation is entertaining. I will have to agree with Rizzo. I think they are incendiaries. A bladder filled with a flammable oil of some sort.
But then again I am not known for my knowledge of medieval history. Just my 2 cents worth.
