Questions about this Bayeux Tapestry *pic*

http://www.regia.org/images/Bayuxc13.jpg Forgive me but....those helms are dorky looking. Did the helme really look like that? If so, why are not that many seen on todays field? Most of the living history pics have more rounded spangens. IMO. When you use the greathelm vrs. sugarloaf debate, would ...

Thanks! I cut it with my big ass 18" long shears from the snap on truck. I did it in long smooth cuts. No jagged edges. The client will install the buckle. Hopefully he will finish the edges. This is about all I can do. Thank you for your support. Hal. [img]http://www.cox-internet.com/halberds/done1...

No, but when you do I would like to learn more on how to make the norman foot and leg wear. Or where one would barter for them.

Nice kit looks like it would be a lot more comfortable than chain mail and a helmet all day.

Thanks for the pics.

I want this to look very nice as it is for a client. Also any way to dress the edges? A long time agao I watched ...

Norman belt?

Where is a good place to find a leather belt with a period looking buckle that is long enough to tie in the front. Like Ld. David de Clermont has in his new kit?

Thanks,

Hal (edited from Saverio to Ld. David de Clermont) oops.

Hi, Mr. Madd: When it is cold I mess up stuff too. You may try heating up your bosses with a small propane torch. Also works as a hand warmer. To beat the cold fatigue I like to stand on some flattened card board boxes. A high intensity lamp near by gives off some warmth. My favorite heater is the d...
