Ok, I was wondering if your cop would work for jousting. Like I said "Be safe". Yes Mr. Egfroth helped me a great deal with this helm. It is one of my attempts at a historical piece. Yes the rosetts were from the help of Bryan's book. Happy armouring: Hal. (edited to show all of the helm) [img]http:...

Mr. Madd: I think you said that a different helm goes with it. And that temporary helm/bevor was a last minute thing. I like it! Especially the brass trim over the welds. Brilliant! You sly dog you. I would of used more rivets but I am sure you have had your fill of rivet pounding for a while. Rest ...

That was a great link to the pics. Bravo on a job well done. The plates could be dished a little to prevent the lumps from showing to much. As for sale question: No doubt you have the knack. You must have hand tools experience or worked in a shop. So, If I remember the formula: Materials+shipping+ma...

If you want that mirror finish and are willing to spend the time. After the finest belt sanding is done wet hand sand with 400 emery cloth then go to 600. It should look damn shiny before it goes to the buffers. All the scratches should be gone or so fine that you can not see them. Happy armouring: ...

I like to put the steel over a 8" dia. pipe and smack the crap out of it with a heavy rawhide hammer. Once I had a really stubborn back sugarloaf piece. It would just not bend to match the front. So I wrapped a rope around it and twisted it with a long 1" pipe as a Tee handle. It came together very ...

Thank you SilverGriffon for your response in the email. I understand. In Charles ffoulkes book, armour stamps are shown. They do not have the 2002 CNC/EDM machined look. I will start carving it myself. I will start with the Bridgeport milling machine. To rough it out. Carve with the Drimmel by hand....
