Durn good! You can put the nasal in a Vee notch in a piece of wood. Then hit it on the inside with a hammer and a brick chisel.
That will put a nice crease down the center of it.

What sort of rivets are thoes?

All and all I like it.

Ps: From one that is fond of spangen helms anyway.

Thank you Ioxunimous. This is a scan from my crusaders book. I tried to coppy the helms with the box drawn around them. Do You have any idea what those squares are on their shoulders and how they are attached? Also what are they made of. They may be a good addition to my kit. I just don't know what ...

The cross breaths are made like this:
1. cut out cross cardboard shapes.
2. stick them on the face plate.
3. mark around them.
4. center punch the holes.
5. electric drill the holes.
6. cut between the holes.
7. hand file to finish shape.
8. sand and finish.

Happy metal pounding.

I also use the 14" red handled bolt cutters.

Mark the rivet where it needs to be and snip it off to size. Then snip all the others that size.

Yes it leaves a >< type cut, but it peens down just fine.

The wallmart dumbells pinched in the vice work good. They have a slight radius. Peel away the rubber coating and sand it smooth.

Find the sweet spot with your polished planishing hammer. Hammer away. Be ready to spend all day on it.

Anything nice does not happen quick.

Rivets question?

I would like to use the flat steel tinners rivets on my new sugarloaf under construction. Problem: They have this spiral lathe tool mark on the head. It is not very authentic.
