Re: Any interest in ductile iron dishing forms?
There is nothing wrong with cast iron dishing forms. I have all the cast ductile steel dishes from Ebay. They are designed to be clamped in a big vice. Yes, they take a shit load of clean up to make em shine. And yes, they were half falling out of the boxes when they got here. I gave a metal poundin...

When the big oven is opened the radiation is very evident.
It burns things at a distance.
I used to wear a silver suit with thick green face shields to do that.
The gloves were these big ass thick yellow fire proof things.
I thought I was on the sun.
Y'all be safe out there... now hear.

That's really cool.
Works great for smaller work areas.
The next one will have a rivet divot built into the top plate.

All it needs is a hardy hole and a ball stake.

How about a hammer or tool set for hammering dents out of a helm? We have some newbie helms that can use that... I have made these before to reach down in a helm and remove dents. It works well with a flat piece of steel used as a back up plate. http://home.armourarchive.org/members/halberds/MaceTo...

I agree with Losthelm about the pattern first. I make a poster board face plate off the existing steel face plate. Fold it on the center line and pattern one side. A series of equally spaced lines help to keep everything neat. Center punch the pattern while folded to transfer to the other side then ...
